It is intended for any person who is a victim of a criminal offence affecting their physical, psychological or sexual integrity, whether in a private or public setting.
This number is specifically intended for crisis situations: it allows you to quickly obtain advice and immediate referral to appropriate resources,
when the need for support is urgent but does not require emergency intervention.
For crisis situations
During its opening hours, the Geneva LAVI Centre (022 320 01 02) is the reference contact for support, advice and follow-up of victims of violence, particularly on a legal, psychological and social level.
It is best placed to respond to the needs of the persons concerned over time.
142 is not an emergency number in the event of imminent danger and does not replace rapid intervention services.
